*97*  Dixie CHICKS
COUNTRY STARS
Last Year: --
Ages: 26/31/28
Credits: Natalie Maines, Martie Seidel, and Emily Robison have sold 17 million albums to date.  Kept country radio off life support by attracting traditionalists and rockers . . . without the anti-crossover flak directed at Shania and Faith.  Overrode Sony Nashville to keep "Sin Wagon" on album.
Debits: Some radio stations refused to play cheerful spousal-murder hit "Goodbye Earl."
FYI: Got tattoos for each No. 1 or RIAA certification; up to 11 each so far.
